Piece selected for Redshift Music Society: Ringtone International Call for Scores
Posted by Lucas Oickle on Monday, December 16, 2013
I've been selected as one of 15 winners for Redshift Music Society's international call for ringtone scores: pieces lasting 20 seconds or less, written for their current ensemble in residence
. These 15 winning pieces will be performed early in the new year by
at a live concert in Vancouver (date, location and time TBA), where they will be judged by the live audience to determine a grand winner (Redshift suggests the title "Lord of the Ringtones"). If you're not in Vancouver the concert will also be live-streamed online to the world, and you'll be able to vote via tweet or text.
Afterwards, all 15 winning submissions will be given a professional studio recording and uploaded to Redshift's website for free download.
